6 seated sit and gos suck!
Like the topic says, much prefer the 10 handed ones.
Think I could probably beat them but I seem to have better success at the 10 handed ones |

I have a hard time with these. Im still learning, so Im probably wrong about this but it seems:
I end up playing less hands instead of more because there arent enough callers to justify playing suited connectors, drawing hands etc, which actually seem to end up taking down big pots when they do hit. The blinds come faster and playing less hands (only high cards and medium-high pairs) it seems to make playing more expensive. When I do end up taking a pot down there is less money in the pot because fewer players contributed. What kind of adjustments do you guys suggest in these games? |

Its simple really, if you can win a 9 or 18 seat sit and go you should be able to win a 6 seater.
With 9 Players you kinda automatically loosen up as players get busted, same with every other sit and go. What you need to do is realise how you normally play when its down to 6 and asjust your game. Sounds simple, Its not, check pokertracker to see what hands in previous tourneys that youve played when it 5 or 6 handed and try to adjust your play to START OFF like that. Much more difficult than it sounds but it works |

I LOVE the six seated Sit N Go tables! The payout is smaller because there are fewer tables, but it is SO EASY to just lie in wait for monster hands. Most of the times, you can take out the other players with just a few good hands.
PLUS, the smaller tables go so quickly! You can play two of them in place of a larger one. The trick is to get a chip lead early because the blinds go up very quickly and come around very quickly as players are eliminated. Again, LOVE this type of game! I'm still pretty new (comparatively speaking) to poker and my "teacher" said this would be a good starter! Boy, was he right!PS - Some games pay 3rd place too. Particularly on Crazy Poker. |

I like 6 seaters. place 1,2 in my last 4 sit n go's, but it's been about 2 weeks that i havn't played now so think i should get back into it. my fastest game was 11 minutes. lol guys were always going all in with nothing and i was gladly taking their free money i love those ones.

I never really have thought about 10 vs 6. I am going to start keeping up with stats and see how I do. Seems like the 6 table would be easier though just like a head on tourney vs. 6 people because the more the cards are spread out the higher the chances of good hole cards and better hands after the flop.

i love the low player sits, its the only way i can keep track of everyone. ring games are scarey, my bank doesn't allow to do anything risky like loose twice, so im stuck in the repeditiveness of playing tight 16 mins and then exploding when i find a weekness. i really wanna start bein competitive in ring games so any suggestions would be loved. thank inadvance.

ehhh...
I think that 6 seated sit and gos are appealing because you think they'll go faster.... but that's only if you win. I prefer the full table sit and go's or even the multi table ones.
What is everyones favorite site to play on? I like Paradise and Pokerroom.com -Daniel |
