500 Points?

Can anyone please explain this....FULL TILT POKER asked me to check out "MY PROMOTIONS" page....I found 500 points on my IRON MAN page ....earned on the 19th of this month....HOW?

Any time they have a disconnect type issue on their end everyone who played gets 500 points.

....I'm still trying to understand why FTP would give me 500 points during a dis-connect...but put them on my IRON MAN page where I have no chance of averaging enough per day to get anywhere! They can tell I'm no big player.....why not put them on my FTP points for gift store....where it might do me some good one day? !

They had software or disconnect issues so since so many people are working towards ironman, etc everyone gets credited 500 pts on their ironman pages in case they had trouble logging in, etc

I got 500 on the 19th too + 500 last month too.

For people like you OP who aren't doing Ironman it's not a big deal but for others who play regularly losing a day as a result of disconnections can affect the level they make at the end of the month and the amount they stand to make in bonuses.

Since it's not the player's fault if the site's servers are down or whatever they credit everyone with enough points to qualify for the highest level to avoid any complaints.

yeah, if i missed iron and got gold instead because of disconnects, it would cost me something like 330 medals, which is worth about $66 ($48 after MGR hit) plus $25 in bonus, so it's pretty nice that they do this for people like me, while it's absolutely useless for people like the OP.

They do this to make sure that everyone who is working towards ironman is not disadvantage due to an FTP problem resulting in a disconnection. I am not sure you can actually use them for anything apart from your iron man record.
