| I did a quick estimate this morning based on time between milestones hands and put it around 2 AM ET. I however expect things to speed up as the 25 billionth hand approaches. Best guess would be sometime between 11 PM ET and 2 AM ET tongiht (Saturday.) |

| I saw on another thread where some did the actual math and siad Monday morning. There is current 63 million hands left to go. I'll check it again in a couple of hours and see where it stands. Again, I expect the pace of hands to pick up as the 25th million hand gets close. |

| re: 25 billionth hand Estimated Time at Pokerstars? Okay. I saw 3 million hands played in about 1 hour and 10 minutes 24,937,000,000 at about 14:45 and 24,940,000,000 at about 15:55. That actaully seems slower than when I was playing this morning. So that pace would be place hand 25 million somwhere around 15:15 on Sunday. Very limited sample and again I expect the pace to pick up tonight (but maybe slow down some in the morning and then pick again tomorrow late morning as 25 million approaches.) I'll be keeping on eye on it and hoping it happens after about 07:00 tomorrow so I'll be online. |

| Well there are still 36 million hands to be dealt. The pace really slowed down (or the hour I observed was exceptionally high.) at 14:48 on Saturday hand 24,937,000,000 was dealt. at 9:34 Sunday hand 24,964,500,000 was dealt. 27.5 million hands in 18 hours 46 minutes There are still 35.5 million hands to go. If this pace were to be exactly matched for the next 27.45 million hands then hand 24,992,000,000 would be dealt at approximately 04:20 on Monday. That would still leave 8 million hands to be dealt with each million hands taking around 40 minutes. So I would currently estimate hand 25 billion to de dealt sometime around 7:40 Monday. As noted above, I really expect the pace of hands being dealt to increase as the magic number approaches, so we are most likely looking at sometime between 5:00 Monday and 7:30 Monday. I'll be keeping an eye on this and trying to keep it updated. I'm not a person that stays up until all hours of the night, so my last look at this will probably be around 22:00 Sunday adn then hope it doesn't happen to after 07:00 Monday (so I would be awake by then.) |

The cards were not dealt to about 4-5 minutes after that due to the way they freeze the table and go through the announcements, etc., but the the hand actually hit at 12:33. |

| Here's a question for the 'trackers' ... [x] Stars distributes hands at random [x] Delivered to the tables 'as needed' and assigned a number [x] Ring, MTT, SnG and Play Money hands are all in the same sequences (in other words, even Play Money hands are part of the 25Bil count) [x] Only ring games are included in the 'milestone' hands [x] Chat Admin notifies all tables in advance that a 'milestone hand' is about to be dealt [x] Minutes later, Chat Admin advises 'which' table it was dealt to. [?] How does Pokerstars know ahead of time that the next millionth hand will be dealt ONLY at a ring table? [?] How much real control does any site, or even Stars, have over what happens at which table - selectively?? I'm not 'suggesting' anything necessarily improper - just posing the question ... Inquiring minds need to know ... |

As to the advance announcement, it is not really in advance. If you watch these table, you will see the hole cards are actually deal, then the table is frozen and the announcement is made. A more accurate announcement might be that the "hand is about to be played." |

--------- edit: TRB quotes in his sig line "Put yourself in their shoes before you decide on the best way to take their shirts." I always liked the "Walk a mile in their shoes. That way you're a mile ahead of them and they have to catch up without their shoes." |

| re: 25 billionth hand Estimated Time at Pokerstars? Currently at 975, so that's just 25 million hands left to go. Obviously, my guess of Tuesday morning is going to be wrong. I'm re-guessing very early tomorrow morning (Eastern time), but there are 234K players on PS right now, and they are surely going to speed up the hand rate. Either way, I'm guessing PS is going to break a record for active players sometime today. |
