15% rake at FT??

i've been playing 2/5cent plo 6max on fulltilt for about a week now, but i've just really questioned how much im being raked. i used the rake calculator on their website and it shows that the amout of rake for my limits is .15 per $!!!

before i started playing i always thought that with rakeback (which i have) fulltilt is much more profitable than pokerstars (which is 5%, right?), but now it seems certain that i would be dumb to stay on fulltilt. help?

i know this might be a newby question but i've really tried to search for answers with to no avail. only helpful responses please

The amount of rake taken is not always the same they don't take .15 from every pot. Rake is the same on full tilt as pokerstars but you have rakeback so your getting back more than you would at pokerstars. Don't worry about the rake just go out there and play, don't get tied up in all the rake numbers because at 2/5 it really doesn't matter.

it seems that the general consensus agrees with you, numbuhone, but are you getting your info from stated facts or experience?

but you seem to contradict yourself: first you say the rake varies and then you say it is the same at pokerstars, which is always 5%

also it doesnt make sense that fultilt changes rake from pot to pot. if its stated on their website that they charge 15% i would believe they always charge 15%. they ARE a for-profit institution.

and the rake numbers really matters to me because im trying to build a bankroll and at 2/5 the rake never gets capped. im hoping that one day, with the right poker site, i can make a stable income.

I mean they aren't taking .15 cents from every hand the percent is the same but actual amount isn't. Stars and Full tilt do have about the same rake. Trust me dude, if your losing because of rake you have a lot more problems than how much they charge you, its not significant don't worry about it.

No its not.
At the micros FTP has a 6.5-7.5% rake and PS 5%.
The rake then changes to 5% at 25nl at FTP and at both sites it decreses at 100nl+ because rake is capped...

yea sindri_93 ur right. i realized that its not .15 for every dollar in the pot, but actually 1c for every 15c in the pot
