I've just incorporated the nash equilibrium into my HU game and found it a little silly that I would play K7o reasonably aggressively, then all of a sudden fold it when I've reached 20BB effective stacks.

I think folding K7o at 20BB is too passive. Doing my normal min-raise with these sort of hands then pushing all the 20+ hands is -EV because an observant player would realise I'm raising my weakish hands(hopefully that makes sense)

I'm thinking I can one of two things:

Ignore the nash equilibrium when at 20BB, start following it's advice at 15/13BB. So NO pushing from the SB until at 15/13BB

I think this is the better idea of the two. When at 20BB start pushing hands wider than the nash equilibrium suggests; I think this works because people at the micro/low stakes games(where I play) call pushes much tighter than they should, particularly for the first few pushes they are going to give me the benefit of the doubt. By the time they are catching on to the fact I'm pushing wide the stacks should be around when the nash equilibrium advices.

If this is a good idea, how much wider should I push than the nash equilibrium advices? I'm thinking about 33%, more or less depending on the opponent and reduce the percentage by 2% after every push.

For example, K7o=16.1
16.1* 4/3=21.5, so that's a push

Now a few hands later I get K7o again. I've pushed 4 times so far, so instead of raising the percentage by 33% I'll raise it by 25% (33-4*2=25)
16.1*5/4= 20.125, so still a push

I'll probably push 10% more than the nash equilibrium suggests regardless of how many times I've pushed, more so if the player is being nitty.

What are people's thoughts on this?

From this description, how would you rate my play, if you can at all. This is about my fifth time playing for money, usually I play in tournaments.
Overall I am ahead this last month:
Tourney's $390

Here's the story: Two of my friends and I have recently started going to the casino to play some live poker. A little strapped for cash, as most students are, we opt for the lowest buy-in tournaments available (£10 freezeout, 2 nights a week). Tonight was only our second attempt and my friend managed to take down 1st place! Obviously he was ecstatic with his £230 win and we were buzzing for him too.

Anyway, the tournament co-ordinator took him to the cash desk to collect his winnings and then, quite bluntly in my opinion, asked him to put £5 into a little box on the desk as a tip. As this was an unfamiliar situation for my friend he kind of laughed it off and put in a couple of spare quid that he had in his wallet. He then said something like 'that wasn't 5 pounds' and walked off rather stern faced without smiling at any point in this whole process.

We were a little confused as to the way he behaved and it even put a bit of a downer on my friend's achievement. Looking back now I can see how it is a similar situation to tipping at a restaurant: the dealer/co-ordinator resembling a waiter/waitress. Has my friend broken a golden casino rule? He did give something back and i'm sure he's not obliged to. Would be grateful for any input and perhaps some similar casino 'faux pas' anecdotes can be shared, if indeed this is one?

Since my green bar (Amount Won) is pretty far below the gold bar (Net Expected Won) does that mean I am running bad and getting unlucky often? There are only a few spots where the graph is close to even and the majority of it has a gap of between ~$5 and ~$10. This is over ~15k hands.

I dont think Im gonna put anymore money on Bunitas as they dont seem very reliable or professional. Once I finish this Bunitas disaster Im gonna try to Carbon and if they pull the same stuff I will know that MErge is not a good site to play out.

Has anyone else had this trouble. It told the money was availible for withdrawl but yet 6 days later Im still pending approval, Im about to just cancel it and see what I can do with that money but even if I win more money there, what goo dis it if I cant get it withdraen.

I am an inventor age 70 who is patent pending on an enhancement to holdem poker. Notice I did not say a new game. I am not reinventing the wheel. I can increase action 10-20% pre-flop and flop. This would have a poitive effect on rake plus reduce those nights where a player doesn't get any action on his quality starting hands. And the rules of play would remain verbatim on the sites and math would remain unchanged. Starting AA at 220-1, start with a pair and flop set 7.53-1 against, outs counted same, etc.
Even contacted same again when I realized that a side effect would greatly reduce subtle collusion, the most sucessful kind. Got same rresults. Ring around the rosie with customer support marketing, floor managers, product development, etc at all the on-line poker sites till I get no reply or form letter thanking me for my suggestions??
Occassionally am told they do not want to limit table selection and it's impossible to prevent players using chat, skype. email etc to share information. Evidently they believe that those 2 components are enough to make subtle collusion profitable. All i wanted was an email from a decison maker or a chance to pitch my idea in a 2 minute phone call.
Got similar result from platform suppliers who wanted to sell me something like a poker room. LOL
I had a patent a few years back for a blackjack enhancement and got replies from decison makers at digital table manufacturers, casino's etc. Unfortunately my game was only designed for low limits and they did not feel it was a big enough market. But they did listen!!!!
And I got referrals to these people from reporters mostly. So far not one reply from any on-line poker reporters or radio show hosts.
Seems like they know no enhancement to holdem is possible. Good thing draw poker players did not think that way. Or 5 card stud. Or 7 cad stud. Still amazed at seeing on Wizard of odds Q&A and similar sites holdem players asking if it's harder to get a straight flush in 7 card or holdem. LOL
I am 500 miles frrom Vegas , have offered to pitch my game in person and if they think I am an idiot they can pitch me out in the street therrselves or have security do it.
Sure would at lease like the opportunity to be proven wrong.
The only reason I do not post full details is I don't think I can collect license fees from the Isle of Man. Hoping to license my idea
to deep pockets for protection.
