Yesterday, I lost 100BB in about as many hands, and I’ve decided to move back down to 2/4. It sucks, but it’s a part of the game, I guess. Getting ripped to shreds by the unfortunate way cards are dealt is, well, it’s what it is. I flopped three straights yesterday. I didn’t win any of those hands. It also happened three times that my opponent tripled his top pair on the river, vs. my overpair. Those hands are expensive. So I feel a bit bummed right now, but it’ll be OK.

I’m going to take Tenbob’s and Chuck’s advice and move carefully into NL, but not until after I clear SuperNova. I need to put in quite a lot of volume to reach that goal and a switch like this should begin with studying, not grinding.

On a sidenote, the final chapters of my Rome travel report are upcoming, but may be delayed until after the weekend. We’re going to go visit my parents tomorrow and won’t be home until Sunday afternoon.
