Ultimate Bet and Absolute Poker Merger
Just a few days after I blogged about a possible partypoker and 888 merger, news has surfaced about Absolute Poker.com and UltimateBet.com merging as soon as Monday. The details remain to be seen, but they are set to release an announcement early next week which should outline what the plan will be for the two sites combined. AbsolutelyUltimatePoker maybe? It’ll be very interesting to wait and see how they manage to merge two sets of websites, brands, software, tournaments, promotions, histories, accounts and funds all into one.
It was clear mergers were going to happen and I’m sure there will be more to come. This is the evolution of the online poker industry.
