ChuckTs’ Online Poker Bankroll: Post #1
I started playing online poker roughly two or three years ago, and started off playing freerolls. I built my first bankroll from a small cashing in a freeroll ($5 or so) and built it up to around $200, only to have it lost with a bad tilting session. I’m still a rookie in terms of poker experience, but back then I was even more so.
After losing that original bankroll, I got a taste of how nice it was to win money online without depositing a cent. I’ve now built up a second bankroll from $11 and change of freeroll winnings from a cardschat.com freeroll on Titan poker to roughly $1600. I had at one point (middle of may) built it up to $100 short of $3000, but soon was brought back down to earth after playing stakes too high for my bankroll at $2/$4 NLHE. My main bankroll boosts have been three MTT cashings, $300 up to $500 and change, some SnG playing earlier on, aswell as some ring game success.
I have now also set a new goal for myself, and that is building up that bankroll to a size big enough to take out about 2 or 3K and still have enough to play at the stakes I’m playing at now. I plan on visiting a friend who is traveling in Thailand and it’s surrounding area, and the trip would probably cost around 2K. So to build it up to 5 or 6K would be an incredible accomplishment for me, and i’ll have to juggle between work, poker and summer barbequing costs in order to actually get it done. My friend returns to Toronto sometime in January, so ideally, December or even November would be the best time to leave for me.
SO! $6000 by the time winter comes around is my goal! Wish me luck! ![]()
