So a site called bahbahgirls apparently decided to steal the CardsChat blog posts and simply re-post them as their own. It was clearly done automatically as the categories, even down to “Chuck’s Poker Bankroll” remained intact. There was, however, no link to CardsChat, no link to the original post and no mention of who wrote it.

I found out by accident, actually, I was browsing Gary Carson’s new blog where he links an article about pot odds in limit hold ‘em, that he “strongly agrees with and support.” I clicked the link, ended up at bahbahgirls’ site and found myself reading a post that was eerily much like something I could have written. It was simply “my style” complete with all the extraneous commas and hyphens that I can’t help myself but to use. Something about the wording seemed familiar too.

And it was.

It was this post. Didn’t say my name anywhere, but it was the same post, copied letter by letter. I talked to Nick and he agreed to contact bahbahgirls (I don’t know if he ever heard back from them, but the link to their “poker” content no longer works), and I tried to get in contact with Mr. Carson to get him to post the correct link. I made a comment on his blog, but I don’t know if he doesn’t read them or if he can’t be bothered to change it. Either way, it’s a bit unfortunate for me because this blog doesn’t get all that much traffic so when I actually do write something that someone finds good enough to link to, it’s unfortunate that the link doesn’t take them here.

Sigh.
