Spring! Grass is getting green, trees are about to burst into bloom, the temperature is up - I walked downtown without a coat Sunday! - and the sky is blue.

Many of you will not be able to fully appreciate just how grand the return of light and warmth is to those of us who live up in the north. You have to understand that we go for quite a few weeks during midwinter where we only have a couple of hours of sunlight (which is usually well concealed by the clouds) a day. Swedes are absolutely crazy about summer, and so this is HUGE!

In the middle of all this, I’m actually taking a week’s vacation to go to an even warmer place: Spain. Yes, for seven days, I’ll spend my days reading in the sun and resting up after an incredibly tense winter of work. It’s all good.
