I know I’ve said this before, but I think I’m finally getting used to the fact that bad beats will happen. I had a week straight of getting bad beat out of every game I played, save one where I won. I would just laugh, take a break, and tell myself that eventually my %60 or %70 favourite would hold up and I’d be back to winning ways. The beats got really bad at one point; I’d made it to the final two tables of one of the infamous 180-seaters on Stars, and got my money in on the flop vs. KJ for two overcards pushing me with no fold equity, and he hit his pair on the turn to knock me out. Even through all this I just kept telling myself it would turn around, and it has.

I made a goal for myself that I’d finish 50 turbo STTs this month in the march goals thread, and so far I’m already done 40 of them with a tidy %42.11 ROI, %47.37 ITM and $263.20 profit - which is completely unsustainable, of course. I’m actually playing so many that I may change my goal to 100 STTs by the end of the month.

Being completely jobless right now and having several past dues to pay, I’ve had to withdraw a lot of my bankroll to settle up. I left myself $150 in Stars, $150 in Full Tilt, and I still have about $130 sitting around in Mansion poker. With this withdrawl, I’ve had to re-calculate what limits I can safely play at and still have a nicely padded bankroll behind it. Playing at the $15s means it would give me almost 30 buy-ins, so I think I’m safe for now.

On a side note, one of my best friends is coming back on the 1st of April (though he’s terrible with being tardy, so I think I can say +/- one week). He’s been gone since pretty much this time last year, mostly through Thailand and Malaysia, but visiting the surrounding countries aswell. So anyways, me and my buddies are planning a big party here for him when he comes back; it’s gonna be pretty damn fun - by that time spring and it’s warm weather should have hit Toronto, so it’ll be nice out too.

We’ve had a few really warm days here in the last week, and it’s completely lifted the winter depression off my back.

St. Patty’s Day is coming up this weekend and I’m really not sure what I’ll be up to. My buddy who’s currently at Guelph university invited me up for the annual antics up there (breakfast keggars, bar-hopping all day long), and there’s really not much goin on with my friends here in T.O., so I think I just may head up north for some more craziness. Every time I go up there I seem to black out at one point or another :/

Anways I’m going to go play some more STTs and see if I can rake in some more dough for this weekend. Hope everyone has fun this weekend! I know I won’t be %100 conscious…
