O, variance…

I haven’t played too many games lately, so I’ve been reviewing my play from past games a little bit. Looking at the games I’ve played since my last blog entry, ironically the games where I’ve done my best results-wise have been when I played the poorest, and the games when I play my best are where I bust right on the bubble with a bad beat or run into a big hand.

My latest ‘doozies’ have been 1) pushing over the top of a shortstack’s all in with AQ only to get beaten by 8T offsuit, then later send the rest of my stack away with 78s against my QJ all in preflop when a chronic blind-stealer decided to push me in, and 2) getting shortstacked at the bubble vs three maniacs, getting aggressive and running into KK with my KJ all in preflop. It tends to get to me a little bit…oh well…push up time!

The worst thing is that the added stress of not having a job right now, having money owed and having such a small bankroll to work with make it so I need to win and win now!!!

Well, conversely to what I was saying my last entry, here’s to having better luck than I am right now!
