History Repeating.
I’m a bit upset with myself.
Experience is a wonderful thing. It allows me to recognize a mistake when I make it again.
And I’ve made it again. I’ve put myself in the dumbass situation of having to grind VPPs at Stars with a deadline that makes it not-trivial, which means that the year that started out so well for me in studying poker and learning NL has now become a big steaming pile of VPP grind at 1/2 and 2/4 limit hold ‘em. It’s going to be a lot easier to clear the bonus on time (I have until March 31) than it was getting Supernova, but I’d have rather not been in the situation to begin with. Was there a way to avoid it?
Yes. Since I started out the year studying and playing at Party Poker (to get away from Stars for awhile) I could easily have waited a few more weeks before activating the bonus. But no; I was eager and rushed to it on January 31st. So there you have it; three months to clear 10.5k of VPPs, which is admittedly not that much - but it’s more than I was planning to play. So while I’m perfectly capable of finishing on time, I’m frustrated with myself for screwing up.
Anyway, I’m playing winning poker and my confidence is better than ever before. I’ve run bad for a little while now, but things will inevitably look up. I’ll get some graphs for you as soon as I can be bothered to re-install PokerPatterns. Promise.

3 months to clear 10.5K VPP’s for $1500, stop whinging
It’s easy.
