Venturing into rings again

…and still playing well above my bankroll limits. I’ve got around $200 at Full Tilt, and about $500 strewn across several sites (total), and playing with $50 is about %10 of my bankroll. I’m playing with too much, but I’m going to be getting a job soon, so I’m really not worrying about practicing proper bankroll management as I should have a weekly income that’s bigger than my entire bankroll soon enough.

I’ve also started using a script that pretty much keeps tables open with meet your specified input (stakes, number of players, table size etc), which allows for easy datamining on Full Tilt. I’ve already got thousands of hands in my new database, and it gives me a huge edge on the tables. When I sit down at a table and I have more than 300 hands on each person, and 2 of the other five players have literally 1000+ hands prerecorded with my pokertracker, well it makes my decisions much easier. I know who the rocks are, I know who the maniacs are, I know who multitables, who’s a consistent winner and it goes on and on.

My only problem so far is my play. I would be down a little less than a buyin so far (roughly 5 sessions played) had I not gotten lucky with my QQ hitting a set vs AA all in preflop. I’ve been playing a solid TAG game in general, but have gotten a little loose at times (it’s easy to do with most of the regulars being 20/15 and tighter) and am playing a few too many suited connectors and small pairs. They have won me some decent pots, but so far haven’t payed off big enough to make playing them worthwhile. I’ve yet to hit my hand while my opponent holds an overpair or any other hand big enough to stack me. I’ve got to tighten up in that sense and pick better situations for them.

I saw that Combuboom, one of our respected members on CC, started a bankroll thread to record his progress at the SnGs and rings at Full Tilt. Good luck with that, combu - you’re a solid player and deserve better than that terrible bad streak you were on a month or so back.
